RTSW11: Vadz - Nuclear Volgodonsk
TRAKZ:
Once upon a time i was working on a radiostation and we had a task to record some speeches for Emergency Department. So, an actor from the local theater was invited and all the instructions were spoken over the microphone. One record was about what to do if an incident on the Volgodonsk Nuclear Power Plant happens (check Google Earth or Google Maps). The text was scary and actual (Volgodonsk is about 260 km from Taganrog) and, of course, i decided to use it. That's how the Nuclear Volgodonsk trilogy appeared. First, there were only 3 tracks, 2 with no vocals and sounding almost the same (part 1 & 2) and the third one, totally different, with instructions. Plus, DJ Spell from Moscow made a mind-blowing dancefloor-friendly-acid remix (which was then taken by Diggarama netlabel as a part of Mystique EP). I tried to release the whole EP, but labels i got connections with, showed no interest at that moment... Time passed, i re-mastered all the tracks and added 2 more, similar in emotional sense, and decided to finally put everything together as an integral story. Listen to the warnings and be aware of the Power of Atom! Amen! |

RTSW10: Various Artists - Strategic Reserves
TRAKZ:
This is our tenth release, a kind of a small anniversary one and a cause for rejoicing. 5 artists, 10 tracks. All of the techno is different here, and every track has a character. Here we go: First two are from Naj, who was born in Kazakhstan but now lives in Germany. Classic, dancefloor friendly techno of "Ex-p" and an offbeat explosion of "Black Dress". Hit hard, never miss! Second pair comes from Rostov's Rubetz who brings sci-fi elements in "Resistance..." and a robotic trickery of "Razor". Check it, think it! Then we got 2 pieces from Vadz - serious pulsations of "Mechanoid" and simple but flammable beats of a "Crusher". Handle with care! Postapoclalyps Pop brings another two. "Electro stuff" is a tasty electro cut for a set start, recorded live, and a "Teely" is a bass-moving funky piece of cake. Play it loud! In the end we got a pair from Sub, our man from Surgut. Siberian coldness is heard in every beat of "Biolight", the vocals hypnotise you with "White sky, black dots..." mantra, and the "Alien" makes you dream of ethereal lifeforms. Don't be scared! Netlabel celebrates it's "2 years online" holiday with this release. Think of us when you drink vodka next time. Enjoy proper Russian Techno style! |

RTSW8: Di Arty - Sicker Than Ever
TRAKZ:
Di Arty is a DJ and artist from Novosibirsk. He's known for his hard techno addiction, and IDM-inspired production. This release reflects his 'harder' side, and, as you can hear, every track has an experimetal touch, which makes RTSW8 a bit special. Ok, here we go! First track - a tempting massive one with rude vocal cuts and distorted bass drum - a classic burner! Play it on a big party and be sure - you'll get massive response! Second track - hi-frequency noise and agressive beats will definitely make you nuts. Who can stand this pressure? Forth tack is a restless cut with somehow funky rhythm line - sometimes it breaks, somethimes it lightens, but all in all - it's strong and vivid! Summing everything up - this release will fit those who likes it in a bit harder way, not fast but not slow, on the edge. Slightly experimetal, with it's own character. Enjoy another fine release from Russian-Techno.Com! |

RTSW7: 2000 Lights - Absence
TRAKZ:
2000 Lights is an alias of Evgeny Light, well-known artist and DJ in the South of Russia. He usually prefers to play tech-house, minimal, and deep-techno stuff. Being a big expert in softer side of techno, his own production comes out very emotional and sincere. We're glad to present you this release full of beauty and depth. Tracks were produced during various periods of time, some of them were even lost (and then found, of course). Music is melodic, rhythms are tender, tracks build up slowly, and the whole groove makes you fly up in the warm clouds of calmness and placidity. This release is a good ambience for creative work, for sure. Or, if you're a DJ, you can use these ingredients wisely - just put one of them (or two or all) in your mix into right place and you will precisely get a vivid, full and finished story with a lot of colours, fancy shapes and shining forms to please any of you listeners. Enjoy 4 views of Absense by Evgeny Light! PS: This release is presented only as MP3 VBR, because not all the sources were preserved as WAV. |

RTSW6: Rabitza - Chronicles Of Destruction
TRAKZ:
Rabitza rocks! Rabitza rules! Rabitza drives you crazy! Rabitza is a live-performance multi-style creative duo (Alexander Rabitz and Ivans Borodoy) from the South of Russia. Their zetetic minds self-express themselves in goa-trance, ambient, and, of course, techno. Their music is always on the edge, emotional and vivid, strong, and, what's really important - it has a character. 'Chronicles Of Destruction' is a postapocalyptic etude in 4 parts, dark and scary, full of hard-ass energy. Parts 1 to 3 were carefully taken straight from stage - cut from various techno live-perfomrances recordings, and slightly adjusted and mastered for this release. The tracks became self-sufficient, dj-friendly and don't fall out of the context. The 4th part was extemporary written in a studio by Ivans and became a huge surprise for the both members and all the party-people lately. Let's press play and hear the hardware working! |

RTSW5: Acid Mikhalych - Transistor Bassed
TRAKZ:
Acid Mikhalych is an acieeeed phreak from Moscow. 100% hardware addicted and 100% live recorded. He has already showed us his teeth on RTSW4, and now here's a mini-album for you. 5 excellent tracks, each one with it's own character. Our journey starts with some cliched but tasty sequences for start-up, then we come though massive one-o-one basslines with strong rhythm, a trippy hardcore experience with distorted perception is what we have next, followed by a scary 'acid halloween' track with tickling melody, and a perfect final chord in the end, mellow and clean. Acid for the masses, everyday acid! So, if you're an acid fan - be sure to play this release loud while having some smiley pills tonight, and if you're a DJ, obey now, and sacrifice your soul for the Gods of Acid! Oh, and by the way, here's a video of Acid Mikhalych playing live at Moscow's Technoprom night. |

RTSW4: Various Artists - Cold Fire
TRAKZ:
"Cold Fire" is a collection of tracks with a definite melancholic feel. It might even throw you into the warm hands of sorrow, or make you think about something fundamental, like birth of the Sun, nothingless or the futility of a mankind.. It's not a destructive fire, burns everything to ashes, just fire that warms souls of approaching apocalyptic romantics from within. Gems only, grown with insight and made for listening in imperfect world. 1) Neonicle is a new name on RT, and his debut tunes you to the dark frequencies of the whole compilation. This artist from St. Peterburg drops electro in best traditions of the well known Dutch scene - emotional, mysterious and grim but full of inner energy. Have you ever seen ghosts? Hey! what was that?! 2) Tantcui Tantcui (which means "dance dance" in Russian) is a side project of a well known 8-bit artist 777minus111 from Moscow. A minimal deviation, as he says. "Where have you been? - Nowhere. What have you been doing? - Nothing". Wicked short track, with a strange melody in it. Should be served as a set opener on a heavy drugged minimal party. Hey, was that a sound of a knife? Did you hear that?! 3) Rabitza takes us into yet another subliminal journey. This piece of art was recorded during one of their live performances and carefully mastered so you can taste the beauty of the moment. A mixture of something between electro and trance with warm melodies and acid mind programming makes you float on the wings of sound. Don't meditate too much, make sure you return soon! 4) Next is an elegant track from Mass Fatality, a project from a grandfather of russian techno scene - DJ Slon from St. Petersburg. Pulsating 808 beats fused with a simple but touching melody keeps you in the mood all the way through. It feels like you're put in a small cozy space filled with a mixture of different images and feelings. Love, anger, tenderness... choose one! 5) Acid Mikhalych, a desperate hardware freak from Moscow gives his debut appearance on the scene. Having a wide collection of retro synths and beatboxes (The legendary Roland 303, 606, 707, 909, etc) and being strongly addicted to acid, he records tracks on the fly and performs live too. "Load in progress" is a dark and scary track that programmes your mind for a trip through your subconscious fears. Get ready for the dark adventure! The wind of doom blows in your direction!!! 6) Vadz was on his way to work on a snowy and queerly silent morning on the outskirts of Taganrog, and suddenly, something began to play inside his mind. That's how this track was born. You can hear the flakes of snow scattering from above, you can smell the freshness and see the silent beauty of winter. Everything fades away, leaving just fancy mosaic images which remain to the very end. |

TRAKZ:
Here we go again! Experimental, raw, funky, robotic, hypnotic! St. Peterburg-based duo Postapocalyps Pop rocks your basement and moves your brain! So, what do we have here? 'Opdob' is a perfect soundtrack for brain defragmentation sequence. Be careful! Occasional errors may occur, data loss possible! Last track is a summary of all in a free interpretation by Vadz.
