Lazer Kontinent was founded in 1991 by Kirill Junolainen and Igor Stepovy (has left project in 2004) on fragments of industrial association ‘The Howl’. Initially the project was created as especially conceptual industrial-electronic collective. Further, sights of the members and their musical preferences has changed. For 20 years the project tested in most various styles and genres of electronic and not electronic music (Industrial, Electro, Techno, Ambient, Electroacoustic, Glitch, Noise, Microwave, Tapemusic). Long time the project was a stronghold of the electronic underground on the north-west region of Russia. The project repeatedly acted with live programs in Russia, dance-oriented and not. Now Kirill Junolainen conducts Lazer Kontinent in loneliness. The releasing of the catalog of LK’s albums and EPs since 1991 is in plans. The story continues…
