Ex-Ranza is from Glasgow, Scotland. First inspired by the unique Scottish hardcore sound, bands such as Ultrasonic in the early 90s, and later harder Dutch productions, Ex-Ranza eventually came across the genuine purity of acid techno, the darker side of techno sounds from legends such as Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Luke Slater and Adam Beyer. Preferring uncompromised engaging live productions, Ex-Ranza endeavours to recreate dancefloor-ready live tweaking raw acid funk, improvised in the moment of digitized analog freedom, craving the bubbly sound of the 303, and hard edged basslines.
