RT-24: VADZ – THE SEA OF AZOV EP
TRACKS:
1. Vadz – The Sea Of Azov [6:10]
2. Vadz – Phobia [5:15]
3. Vadz – Stuck In A Cage [5:47]
4. Vadz – Youth Techniq [6:27]
INFO:
Vadz prepares another portion of potion for the musical feasters. His new EP called ‘The Sea Of Azov’ is inspired by the nature and geography of his native region. Four totally different tracks: dubstep with seasick synths, scary monotone offbeat techno, electro with paino, and a slow acidic experimental inclusion in the end – all made in his firm sound. Find yourself floating in the big electronic sea, between furious waves of the unexpected, among strong and cold winds of paranoia, and the wreckages of hopes. Enjoy another fine release on Russian Techno, we bring the best!
FEEDBACK:
Lifecycle (Ricochet Records): Dark EP! Interesting vibes … first two tracks especially … nice work!
RT-23: ANATOLY KOVERNIKOV – JUNK EP
TRACKS:
1. Anatoly Kovernikov – Calibro [6:07]
2. Anatoly Kovernikov – Philosophy [7:56]
3. Anatoly Kovernikov – Kapsul [3:35]
4. Anatoly Kovernikov – Sector Tesla [5:30]
INFO:
A new name on the label – Anatoly Kovernikov. He’s from Penza and his brain is full of ideas. A new wave engulfs the Russian Techno headquarters. New artists, fresh sounds – that’s what we got for the late summer of 2011. ‘Junk EP’ is a vivid example of what’s happening in the heart of Russia’s club scene. Complex rhythmic constructions but simplicity in the groove, weird subliminal sounds, sliced pieces of vocals and sudden melodic bursts – all this will keep you aware all the way the music plays, in headphones, or in the club. Check out the ‘Junk EP’ right now, and you won’t regret, because it’s tovarisch Kovernikoff in the house!
FEEDBACK:
Mike Holmes (IF? Records / Dead Agenda / Dead Frequency Radio): Really liking this solid EP! Very clean, clever productions. Calibro & Kapsul are the stand out tracks for me, minimal but with substance! Also enjoyed the blissed out grooves in Sector Tesla though. Fully supported by myself in the clubs and on Dead Frequency Radio.
RT-22: ALEX COOL – COMATOSE EP
TRACKS:
1. Alex Cool – Don’t Bring The Beast Out [6:28]
2. Alex Cool – Comatose [7:58]
3. Alex Cool – Entomological Warfare [7:27]
4. Alex Cool – Alkali Element [6:35]
INFO:
Alex Cool is a new promising artist on Russian Techno label. He was born in Irkutsk, almost on the shore of the lake Baikal, and this fact means he got (what we call here) a severe Siberian temper. His debut EP on Russian Techno is called ‘Comatose’. The music of which could be described as dirty nu-scool techno with an acidic fur. Slightly experimental, but definitely massive. Russian Techno brings you the best again. Enjoy the new sounds of Alex Cool, leave your brain in comatose, let your body do the job on the floor!
FEEDBACK:
DVNT: 4th track, the EP namesake Comatose is of the 4 the one I’m most likely to play I feel. Dark and at times hectically sharp. This is big European techno business that could find itself being accepted by the Ibiza crowd for that harder section of their setlists. Great acid lines on ‘Entomological Warfare’ whereas ‘Don’t Bring The Beast Out’ tries something new with a bold hardflutter bassline.
Lifecycle: Really interesting sounds… Whole release tickles my fancy.
Mike Holmes (IF? Records / Dead Agenda): I really like this EP, nice work! I love the quirky, acidic feel to Entomological Warfare but the standout track for me is Alkali Element, both tracks will be fully supported by me in the clubs & on Dead Frequency Radio Show.
